URAC
URAC is one of the highest levels of accreditation that a 
medical review organization can attain. In 2008, HQSI earned full accreditation from URAC as an Independent Review Organization. URAC standards ensure that only appropriately trained, qualified clinical personnel conduct and oversee the review process; that a reasonable, timely and efficient process is in place; and that medical decisions are based on valid clinical criteria. Meeting these standards provides additional assurance to patients, providers, purchasers, regulators, and customer that our utilization management review practices are fair, consistent, and equitable for all parties. A leading health care accreditation organization, URAC developed rigorous standards in 2001 designed to ensure that the independent review process is fair, objective and timely.
